Excuse me while I have a “moment…”

There’s a moment where all of the emotions you have been keeping in for so long finally just break out. You are tired of walking around with a smile on your face, because in reality you are heartbroken on the inside but you can’t let anyone know. It’s not their battle.  Not only that, but the Lord has specifically told you to BE QUIET and BE STILL!

It’s the  moment you cry until you just can’t cry anymore because you are so LOST and BROKEN and HURT and CONFUSED. You are mad and so so angry.  You can’t and don’t see how any of it will work out for your good because, let’s be honest, none of it makes sense anyway! Your mind is bombarded with thoughts and fears, leading you down the path of the “what if’s”… It is just NOT FAIR!

WHY GOD??

Why did it happen? What is going to happen next? Where will we go, what will we do, will we lose everything?? Why do things KEEP happening??  Seriously, can’t a person get a break??

You just want to be mad and angry and call everyone you know and tell them all about it. We want justification and vindication.

Ugh!

HOWEVER…..

You have to let go and let God.  He can’t do anything if you are still holding on to it. Whatever “it” is.

You have to trust and believe. “Trust” is the firm belief in the reliability, truth or ability of someone or something…”belief” is trust, faith or confidence in someone or something. Where is your trust going?

You have to forgive. “And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32

You have to choose love. “Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.” Proverbs 3:3

You have to step out of the boat and don’t look down. Don’t take your eyes off of Jesus. “But when he saw that the wind was boisterous he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, ‘Lord save me!’ And immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and said to him, ‘ O you of little faith, why did you doubt?'” Matthew 14:30-31

You have to walk right through that open door and never ever look back. “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.” Revelation 3:8

Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that ALL THINGS work together for good to those who LOVE GOD and are CALLED according to His purpose.” (Emphasis mine.) This means that NO MATTER how bad it hurts, somehow and someway GOD will get the glory. As crazy as that sounds! Just watch and see…just be still. Step back, wait, watch and see what HE does.

I don’t know what God has next for us. For some reason His plans have not been revealed to us yet. Either the door isn’t ready to be open or WE aren’t ready. It may be just a little bit of both, who knows. I do know this…”Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:37-39
