One of my sweet friends has a son who is on the spectrum. He is pretty stinking awesome too. The Lord has been using this young man to really open my eyes in some areas in my life that apparently need some work.
Talk about humbling. Yikes….
We have some pretty cool conversations too…we talk about old movies with Cary Grant, or homeschool field trips. One day we even had a competition over the states and their fun facts. Recently, though, he was working on a project for homeschool. (That he assigned to HIMSELF!) He wrote some articles for a newspaper that he came up with called The Bullard Gazette…I read over them and asked him when he was going to “publish” them and he got real quiet. So I asked him, “Would you like for me to post them on my blog?”
Ya’ll should have seen his face light up as he said “YES!”
So here we go….the following three “stories” are not mine…they are written by a young man who is very special and is most certainly being used by God in more than one way.
The Tarrant Family has lived in Bullard, TX for over 150 years. They have an old family property. One of the family’s descendants runs the old family property. They take care of the family land and also have their own business. They have other property as well and it will be in the family for many more years to come.”
Oprah Winfrey has made a pretty big amount of money in her life. There was one investment she made in Weight Watchers and she did really well. The 63-year-old has been very busy lately with her investments and her “O That’s Good!” food line. She hasn’t been in anything for some time and now in this year 2017 she has all of a sudden made a comeback.
Donald Trump has been the President of the United States for one year. He and his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, have a son named Barron. Last year Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton fought their way to the top by trying to get votes. Hilary Clinton lost to (now) President Trump and the news spread like wildfire.
For some reason the scripture found in 1 Timothy 4:12 came to my mind…”Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
This young man is only 11 (almost 12!), but the Lord is using him in ways that he might not even know. He ministers to people with his kind and sincere words and genuine smile. And his laugh is totally infectious! It’s one of those deep belly laughs (and sometimes a good ol’ giggle!) that you just can’t help but laugh right along with him. He is a no-nonsense type person, and will let you know with a QUICKNESS when something upsets him that may have been said. He loves to talk about the Lord or movies he has seen, and even shows he has watched. He and his family are such blessings!!
I am so thankful he allowed me to share his very first articles with y’all…enjoy!!
